Wildlife Refuge

These were from the Wildlife Refuge (from July). I just ran across them.
This would have been so much better had the longhorns just cooperated and looked at the camera.
This little guy was happy to look at us...he might have just wanted food....who knows.

Happy Wednesday

My girl and her friend being silly this past summer.

Fun Park

My grandparents treated all of grandkids and great grandkids that happen to live her in town to a fun day at their friend's fun park....Here my grandpa is at the bumper cars. Watch out! He's dangerous.
This picture was actually taken by my 2 year old cousin.

My grandpa. I love his face....he is truly having a good time. Shout out to my cousin for the go-cart ones....I was riding at the time. She did a good job....don't you think.

My son made it about 2 times around and he was ready to get off this ride, so we asked them to stop so he could get off. I don't blame him one bit. I hate twirly rides.
His expression was priceless.

Just a few shots from summer...
I love his face in this one.

I was going through old photos and stumbled on this one I forgot....taken w/ the point and shoot on timer. Photos with ALL of us are few and far between.

Lake Fun

We came across some "horse apples"...so my kids played "horse apple bowling"

This was one of only two catfish that didn't break our line.

There is a story about the shark she is holding in her hand. See, we ALWAYS forget something and this time it was floats to float in the lake with. So my honey went to the marina and paid probably 4x walmart price for this inflatable shark. And of course, not long after they got done swimming, the wind swept it away and it disappeared. So we took a nature hike to find the shark "Sonic" (they named him) and my honey had to wade through mossy, snake infested Louisiana swamp land to get him. (so he says)

My fave of the whole trip.

Okay, I'm not sure what it is with mushrooms lately, but check out these that grew on the tree. I have never seen that before. Pretty weird, huh?

Some good reading time while you're camping.

My husband is a fantastic griller! Love his steaks and pork chops. We decided everything tastes better outside!
